The Start of Plant Videos!

I'm trying a new idea of making some simple videos of plants.
This is of Plantanthera nivea (Snowy Orchid) and Sarracenia minor (Hooded Pitcher Plant).
I hope to have more videos to come!

Some lessons learned on filming with a cell phone.
1. Hold the phone sideways.
2. Stop on the plant and wait a while (I didn't do this too well in the video above).
3. A bright sunny days makes bright colors, especially white, hard to see!
A later post I hope to describe how I made the video.

Both plants like to grow in boggy ditch type areas. These orchids were blooming July in Southeast Georgia. Temperatures are hot. There plants are on the rarer side.

Plantanthera nivea (Snowy Orchid) new and old flowers, developing seed pods.

Have a Great day!
