Seed Saturday 12: Drosera capillaris

I am highlighting the seeds of a plant species on Saturdays that I am calling Seed Saturday!

This Saturday's feature is Drosera capillaris, Pink Sundew. Family Droseraceae.

Seed Information: The flower stalks rise above the plant of this carnivorous species, perhaps to keep from eating the pollinators. The flower stalks do not have hairs on them.

Seed Description: The seeds are black. The seeds are somewhat tapered toward each end. The seed appears to have longitudinal lines going from end to end, the length of the seed.

Seeds were viewed using a dissecting microscope with magnification of 10x and 40x. Ruler marks are in millimeters (mm, metric system).
